Refund Policy

How Rap AI handles credits, cancelling a plan, failed videos and the 7-day refund rule for credit packs and subscription payments
Effective date: 2026-10-24.
The short version
- Your paid credits do not run out. Paid credits never expire, whether they come from a pack or a plan, and you keep them after a plan ends.
- You can cancel whenever you like. Turn off renewal in your billing settings; the plan stays active until the period you paid for is over.
- Failed videos are free. If a generation fails, the credits held for it return to your balance by themselves.
- Not what you wanted? Email us within 7 days of a payment. As long as you have spent no more than 10% of the credits it covers, you get 90% of the amount back.
- Charged by mistake? Once we have checked, you get every cent back.
This policy covers every purchase on rapaivideogenerator.com: one-time credit packs and subscription plans. It sits alongside our Terms of Service. If the two ever seem to disagree, the Terms of Service win.
How long credits last
Paid credits. Credits you pay for never expire. That is true for packs and for each monthly allowance a plan adds, including the monthly allowances of a yearly plan where we offer one. Anything you have not spent carries forward and stays in your balance when a plan ends.
Promotional and reward credits. We may sometimes give out free credits, for example in a promotion. Signing up does not include free video credits. Free credits expire on the schedule shown when they are granted, have no cash value, and are not reinstated once they lapse.
Cancelling a plan
Go to your billing settings and choose to manage your plan. This opens the billing portal run by Stripe, our payment processor, where cancelling takes a few clicks.
- Cancelling switches off the next renewal. Your plan and its benefits carry on until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- A yearly plan keeps adding its monthly allowance for the rest of the prepaid year, even if you cancel early in that year.
- Once the plan has ended, any paid credits left in your balance still work.
- Cancelling on its own does not trigger a refund, so if you also want money back for a recent payment, read the 7-day rule below.
When a video fails
If a generation fails for a technical reason, on our side or at the AI model provider, you do not need to do anything. The credits held for it are released back to your balance automatically.
If a video finishes but arrives broken because of a fault on our side, for example an MP4 that will not play, contact us with the details of that generation. Once we confirm the fault, we give back the credits it used.
A video that completes normally uses its credits even if you hoped for a different result. AI output changes from one run to the next, and the credit cost is shown before you start each generation.
The 7-day refund rule
Which payments it covers
Each real payment is judged on its own: the first payment for a plan, every renewal after it, and every credit pack. Each payment can be refunded once.
A payment qualifies only if both of these hold:
- Timing. We receive your refund email within 7 days of the time your payment was confirmed. What counts is when we receive your email, not when we finish looking at it.
- Usage. Since that payment, you have used no more than 10% of the credits it covers:
- for a credit pack, the credits in that pack;
- for a monthly plan payment, that month's allowance;
- for a yearly plan payment, one month's allowance, not the whole year's credits.
If the payment qualifies, we refund 90% of the amount you actually paid. The other 10% covers payment processing costs.
What counts as usage
Every credit spent from your account after the payment counts, whatever batch it came from. That includes paid credits and any promotional or reward credits. Credits that were handed back after a failed generation do not count, because they were never really used.
Worked examples
These use the prices on our pricing page today. If prices change, the rule stays the same and only the figures move.
A credit pack. You buy the 350-credit pack for $99.00 and, three days later, have spent 30 credits. You are inside 7 days and under the limit of 35 credits, so the payment qualifies and we refund $89.10.
A monthly plan. You pay $49.90 for the Standard monthly plan, which adds 300 credits each month. Within the week you have spent 45 credits. The limit for that month is 30 credits, so this payment does not qualify; had it qualified, the refund would have been $44.91.
A yearly plan. You pay $500.00 for the Standard yearly plan, which adds 334 credits each month. The limit is set by one month's allowance, so it is 33 credits rather than a tenth of the whole year's 4,008. You write to us on day 5 having spent 25 credits, so the payment qualifies and we refund $450.00.
Upgrade charges
If you move to a higher plan partway through a period, we review the extra upgrade charge individually rather than under the 7-day rule. Just write to us about it.
Duplicate and mistaken charges
Tell us if you were charged twice for one purchase, or charged for something you never bought. After we verify it, we refund the full amount, no matter how long ago it happened or how many credits you have used.
What a refund changes
- Plan payments. The plan ends at once and will not renew. Unused credits from the refunded payment are taken out of your balance, and the paid access that came with that plan stops. Anything from a separate credit pack is judged on its own.
- Credit packs. Unused credits from the refunded pack are taken out, and the paid benefits that pack gave you end.
Our reply confirms how much we refunded and what happened to your credits.
What we cannot refund
- Free, promotional or reward credits.
- Any request outside the rules on this page, except where the law requires a refund.
- Payments that already have a dispute or chargeback open.
- Accounts involved in fraud or in abuse of this policy, and accounts we closed for breaking our Terms of Service.
Disputes and chargebacks
If a charge looks wrong, please email us before you contact your bank. That is nearly always the quicker way to sort it out.
If you go to your bank with a dispute or chargeback first:
- We remove or freeze the credits from the disputed payment and pause the paid features it unlocked until the dispute closes.
- If the dispute is decided in our favour, we review the payment and give back the credits and access that still apply. Credits already spent on a generation cannot be given back a second time.
- If the dispute is decided in your favour, we treat the payment as fully refunded.
How to send a refund request
Self-service refunds are not available. Email the support address on our contact page from the address you use to sign in to Rap AI, with the subject line Refund Request, and tell us:
- the email address of your Rap AI account;
- the date of the charge, or the invoice number on your receipt;
- what you bought, such as a credit pack or a monthly plan;
- in a sentence or two, why you are asking.
You will get a reply within 5 business days. If we need more, such as a receipt or the generation involved, we will ask in that reply.
Getting your money back
An approved refund goes back to the payment method you used, through Stripe. We cannot send it to another card or account. Most banks and card issuers show the refund within 5–10 business days, and we email you once it has been sent.
Your legal rights
This policy does not limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Each payment is judged under the version that was in force on the day you paid.
